Instructor: Cameron Hillman | Difficulty: Intermediate | Series: Medieval Ruins
You’re playing a video game. Your hero stumbles out of the forest to find a mysterious, half-buried medieval ruin. Your game might be about discovering the ruin’s story or figuring out its hidden treasures, but what about the story behind creating it? That’s the story instructor Cameron is here to tell! Join him as he shows students how to create a full scene in Unreal Engine 4. Instead of simply discovering the ruin, his students will create it, designing the landscape, importing and placing premade assets, adding lighting, and applying visual effects.
In this episode, you’ll take your medieval ruins’ visuals to the next level using Unreal Engine 4's powerful lighting tools. Learn the different types of lights available, what each light does, and when is the best time to use it!
